Bereavement friendship Group
It is often the case with funeral directors that once the funeral is over a family are left to get on with it. We felt that this should not be the case and in 2008 we set up our Bereavement Friendship Group.
Naturally over time families and friends return to their routines and one of the many different emotions you may suffer is the feeling of being alone or you may find it difficult to talk to someone close about how you are feeling.
Our Bereavement Friendship group is not a counselling session but it enables you to meet and talk with people who may be going through a similar situation. The thought of coming for the first time can be very daunting but the group is very friendly and is set in a relaxed atmosphere.
The group is very informal and anyone who has suffered a bereavement are welcome to come and join us. We generally meet every second Friday of the month at the Thorntree Centre in Milton Road South, Stowmarket between 2pm and 4pm. Please ring us first as we may be on an outing.
Over the year we have various speakers, days out to places of interest and a Christmas meal.
